Agueda gained her MSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Universidade da Coruña in 2012. She began her professional journey at Navantia Madrid, utilizing Matlab for power prediction and data extrapolation.
Drawn by The Netherlands’ robust naval industry, she furthered her expertise at Nevesbu, partnering with Damen shipyard. There, she focused on intact and damage stability calculations for offshore vessels and innovations in submarine design. Following an eight-year tenure at HJ Barreras, Agueda went on to work as Naval Architecture Department Manager at Seaplace, overseeing designs for oceanographic to supply vessels.
Currently, Agueda leverages her extensive expertise and deep understanding of naval architecture and marine engineering to ensure that design parameters are optimised for Gazelle’s floating platform. She will be critical in ensuring the front-end design is optimised for manufacture as well as helping to unify the technology team of Gazelle with the Navel Architecture teams of Carceller aiding the transition from design to manufacture.
